Don Cheadle is the man.

Jean Michel Basquiat: a personal hero. The volume of art he created in such a short life is impressive, but what is more impressive is the way he rose to prominence. Well before he was out of his teens he ran away from home and tried to make it as an artist in New York City. He was homeless for a period of this time and was forced to paint on thrown away materials or objects. He was an integral part of Andy Warhol’s “Factory” and is one of the most influential artists of his time. He died at age 27 of a heroin overdose.
